Photo Booth Rentals for Miami Baby Showers and Gender Reveal Parties

Oct 5
5 min read

Most baby showers and gender reveals run two to three hours, and our two-hour minimum covers that window end to end, pretty much no matter how the day unfolds. We bring the Roamer Booth and the Studio Booth to these parties more than any other pair, and for good reason.

One moves through a seated brunch crowd, while the other just anchors a print station near the dessert table. Every booth we bring out includes a custom overlay designed before the day, not some stock border pulled off a shelf.

Prints carry the parents' names and the date, so it actually looks like it belongs to the party. We're locally operated rather than a franchise, so you get to approve that design before we load it, not after.

If you're looking for a dedicated photo booth rental service in Miami that treats your shower like, well, your shower and not just another booking, that's kind of the whole point. Send your venue layout and we'll name the booth that fits the room.

Which Booth Fits a Baby Shower Better

Showers stay seated for most of their length, honestly. Guests eat, play a game, and then watch gifts get opened, so a corner booth can just sit untouched until the last twenty minutes or so.

Our Roamer Booth solves that differently, because the attendant carries a handheld unit with a ring light and works the room instead of waiting around. The camera reaches the table instead of waiting for the table to come to it.

The Studio Booth is the stronger pick when the host wants a dedicated photo corner, somewhere people can actually gather. It shoots on a 24MP DSLR with studio lighting, so the prints come out sharp even in a dim backyard.

Guests get unlimited 2x6 color prints (two per session), plus a backdrop selection and props to play around with. Older relatives tend to use it more than any other group at these parties, which matters if your guest list leans toward family.

What the Roamer Booth adds to your event is worth weighing too, especially if your crowd likes to move around instead of waiting in line. Some hosts end up booking both booths just to cover each part of the party. It really just depends on how your guest list breaks down.

What a Gender Reveal Needs That a Shower Does Not

A reveal really has just one moment that matters, and it lasts about four seconds, maybe five if everyone's slow to react. Everything before it is buildup, and everything after is pure reaction. The real question isn't how many sessions the booth runs through the day. It's whether that reaction gets captured while it's still on people's faces.

Our Roamer Booth stays mobile through that window, so the attendant can stand wherever the crowd actually gathers instead of holding one fixed spot. The Studio Booth then takes over for the celebration photos, once guests want to pose with the color they just learned.

Pairing the two is what we recommend most for reveals, and it's actually the same combination we run at quinceañeras, where the room splits between a dance floor and a seating area.

Where These Parties Happen Across Miami-Dade

Backyards and private homes account for a large share of the showers we cover, honestly more than venues do. Power access and shade are the first two things we ask about every single time.

Both the Studio Booth and the Roamer Booth work indoors and outdoors without much fuss. An outdoor setup isn't really a constraint, as long as there's a reliable outlet and the gear stays clear of direct sun and rain.

Restaurant private rooms and hotel event spaces make up most of the rest, plus the occasional clubhouse. We cover all of Miami-Dade County and the wider South Florida area, including Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Wynwood, and Fort Lauderdale.

A floor plan sent ahead is usually all we need to confirm the fit. Our private event photo booth rentals are built for gatherings at exactly this scale, whether that's twenty people or two hundred.

What the Overlay Should Say

Every rental includes a custom-designed overlay built for that one event, not a generic template. For a shower, that usually means the parents' names, the date, and a palette lifted straight from the invitation. The print then looks like it belongs to the party rather than to some rental company. Guests notice the difference, even when they can't quite name what changed.

Reveals are where the design gets a bit more interesting, honestly. Some hosts want a neutral version running through the first half of the party. A second version goes live the moment the announcement lands, and we prepare both of these in advance.

We run basically the same approval process for bridal shower photo booth options, so nothing's a surprise when the first print comes out either way, since you sign off on the design beforehand.

A quote just takes one message, really. Send the venue and a rough guest count, and we'll come back with pricing and the booth we'd put in that room.

What to Have Ready Before We Arrive

Most of what we need gets settled in one short conversation, honestly. A few things are just easier to sort before the day than during it. That's especially true at a home venue where nobody's run an event like this before. Walking the space once with this list in hand takes maybe ten minutes and removes most of the day-of friction.

  • A standard outlet within about fifteen feet of the booth position

  • Roughly ten by ten feet of flat floor if you choose the Studio Booth

  • Overlay details confirmed, meaning names, date, and any color preference

  • Shade or indoor cover if the party runs through the middle of the afternoon

  • A rough headcount, which tells us whether one booth or two makes sense

Our attendant handles setup, runs the booth for the full rental, then breaks it down at the end. Nothing on that list asks anyone in the family to touch equipment, which is kind of the point.

Early setup is available at $150 for most booths, or $125 for the Roamer Booth. It's worth adding when the venue gives you a narrow load-in window before guests show up.

Hosts who skip it often end up watching the setup instead of greeting their own guests, which isn't exactly the vibe you want.

Booking Timeline and What Holds the Date

Weekend dates fill first, and spring is just the tightest stretch of the year for showers around here. Reaching out once the venue's confirmed is the practical move, honestly. A quote on its own reserves nothing though, which catches people out more often than it should.

A signed service contract and a $300 non-refundable retainer are what actually hold the date. Payment goes through Zelle, check or ACH, and the minimum rental is two hours, though most showers end up running closer to three.

Additional coverage costs $150 per hour for most booths and $100 per hour for the Roamer Booth, and that holds true whether it's a shower, a reveal, or honestly most parties we cover.
